Planning a trip to Tanzania

How to Plan Your Trip to Tanzania with Mawe Lodges.

Planning a trip to Tanzania with Mawe Lodges, a responsible company committed to providing you with an authentic safari experience, can be an exciting and enjoyable experience.
Mawe Lodges owns and operate several lodges and tented camps in Serengeti, Tarangire, Lake Manyara, and Karatu, well located and easily accessible to explore the unique and immersive experiences in Tanzania, particularly in National Parks and Game Reserves.

To plan a trip with Mawe Lodges, you can follow these steps:

  1. Research and Destination Selection

Before planning your trip to Tanzania, research the various destinations Mawe Lodges operates. Consider Wildlife, landscapes, cultural experiences, and personal interests.

For example;
For better cultural experiences and wildlife safari, we recommend staying at Baobab Camp and Karatu Lodge, as they are close to the cultural villages, where you can combine Wildlife and cultural experiences during your stay.

From these lodges, you can visit the parks of Tarangire, Lake Manyara, Ngorongoro Crater, Lake Eyasi, Karatu, and Mto wa Mbu town.

If you want to witness the Great Migration, consider staying at the Gnu Migration camp, which moves to various parts of Serengeti in search of Wildlife. For example, the camp is in Ndutu from Mid-December to Late-March and Mara River from June to November.

Mawe Lodges is well located for big cats of Serengeti plains like Lions, Leopards, Cheetahs, and many other resident animals in Serengeti.

  1. Determine your trip Duration and Time:

    Decide how long you want the trip to be based on factors you have in mind, like holiday length, budget, and other characteristics you might have to determine your trip.
    Mawe Lodges offers a range of activities and itinerary plans, from short safaris to more extended explorations.
    Consider the best time to visit each chosen activity and destination based on weather patterns, wildlife migration, and other factors.
    This is to say, and if you want to see the great migration calving season, the best is between Mid December to Late March.
    If you wish to see the famous Great Migration along Mara River, plan to be there from Mid July until Mid-November. The rest of other activities are good throughout the year.
