The Experience
Private Tanzania safari tours
A private safari gives your booking party a dedicated guide and vehicle, so you set the pace of each day within the itinerary.
A private vehicle does not mean exclusive use of a camp, a park or a sighting. Shared park rules still apply, so expect other vehicles at popular spots.

We offer four itinerary packages, lasting 5, 7, 9 and 10 days. Compare them on the same basis: dates, rooms, travellers and included services.
5 days. Arusha, Lake Manyara, Tarangire National Park and Ngorongoro Crater.
From $1,790 per person for groups of 6+, or $2,114 per person for two travellers.
7 days. Arusha, Lake Manyara, Serengeti, Ngorongoro Crater, Tarangire National Park and Karatu.
From $3,190 per person for groups of 6+, or $4,360 per person for two travellers.
9 days. Arusha, Lake Manyara, Serengeti, Ngorongoro Crater, Tarangire National Park and Karatu.

Route planning
Choose your route through the Serengeti, Ngorongoro and Tarangire
Start with two or three priorities before you add more stops. Each extra destination adds driving time between camps.
The central Serengeti gives you resident wildlife all year. Add Ndutu or the northern Serengeti for the migration, and let your dates decide which seasonal camp fits.
- Karatu Tented Lodge is 30 minutes from the Ngorongoro Crater, a practical base for an early crater visit.
- Baobab Tented Camp is inside Tarangire National Park on the Lake Burunge corridor, where elephant herds pass daily.
Karatu is also on the route toward the Serengeti, Lake Manyara and Tarangire.

Season
When to go

Gnu Ndutu window: late December to 31 March
Gnu Ndutu Camp is open during the calving season on the southern plains.
Gnu Mara River window: 1 June to 15 November
Gnu Mara River Camp is open while the migration moves through the northern Serengeti.
Resident wildlife all year
Rain changes the safari more than the morning drive. Longer grass and surface water spread the animals out, so you may drive further to find them.

2. Review your route and written quote. Discuss camp nights and included services together before you confirm.
3. Confirm your booking. Read the payment and cancellation terms in your proposal before you pay, and confirm the accommodation and extras you accept.

Yes. We adapt our itineraries or plan a custom safari around your trip length, dates and interests. Your camp choices, route and time in each wildlife area shape the final proposal.
No. A private safari gives your booking party a dedicated vehicle and guide. A private vehicle does not mean exclusive use of a park or a sighting, though.
Herds follow rainfall and grazing, so no itinerary can guarantee their position. Plan around the right seasonal region and allow several nights where possible. Route changes depend on camp availability.
