Dear Travel Industry Professionals,
We are thrilled to invite you and your team to join a special Familiarization (FAM) Trip to Tanzania, where you’ll have the opportunity to explore the beauty of our country and experience the warm hospitality of Mawe Lodges.
At Mawe Lodges, we believe the best way to promote a destination is to experience it firsthand. This curated trip is designed for just 12 select travel professionals from around the world traveling in two cars who are already promoting Tanzania to their clients and want to deepen their knowledge of the destination and our portfolio of properties.
The itinerary includes visits to Lake Manyara, Tarangire, Serengeti, and Ngorongoro Crater, which showcase the best of Tanzania’s wilderness and our signature safari experiences.
This journey aligns with the Karibu-KiliFair 2025 event in Arusha (June), but we’ve also included alternative dates for those unable to attend the fair.

Central-Eastern Serengeti
Well known by its location. The big cats’ paradise. Located in central East Serengeti, where the famous Namiri plains are, the camp faces the Ngarenanyuki River, which flows throughout the year and is an attraction to the animals during the heat peak hours of the afternoon.
Karatu
Simply a safari junction. Unlike our other properties, Karatu Lodge is located outside the park but convenient to those who want to take a short break or visit to nearby parks of Lake Manyara, Tarangire, Ngorongoro, Lake Eyasi, Karatu town, or Mto Wa Mbu.
Tarangire
Elephants paradise camp. The camp is located at the migration and movement of animals between Tarangire to Lake Burunge. Due to this area’s high amount of grass and water, elephants, lions, leopards, and cheetahs love to hang around. Hundreds of bird species are seen throughout the year, making it one of the best places to stay in Tarangire
Southern Serengeti
From December to March each year, the camp is located on the plains of Ndutu, where the calving season of the great migration takes place. The cam is just a few minutes from Lake Ndutu, offering great safari experiences during the great migration calving season. Lions, Leopards, Cheetahs, Giraffes, Zebras, and many more are around.
Northern Serengeti
Following the herd of great migration from June to November in Serengeti’s north Mara River. The famous great migration season is when wildebeest and zebras cross the crocodile-infested Mara River. The camp gives you the front seat to experience and witness this once-in-a-lifetime safari experience.
Our properties are well located to ensure that our guest experiences and interaction to nature and wildlife are maximized and always unique.

Our experiences are well thought out, crafted, and delivered to give our clients the best and the most authentic experience while staying in our beautiful properties in Tanzania.
Boutique, luxury, and authenticity typically come with high prices, but this has been fine for us; we crafted the best-valued properties not so commonly found in the safari world.
